Cinematography Agency to be abolished, Uzbekfilm to become a national film company, and state commissions to be replaced with subsidies
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at a meeting with filmmakers, announced the liquidation of the Cinematography Agency and the transfer of its functions to the Ministry of Culture, a reform of Uzbekfilm, and the abandonment of state film commissions in favor of subsidies.
