Arab Raam party recommends Gadi Eisenkot as candidate to form Israel's government
The Raam party led by Mansour Abbas conveyed to Israeli President Isaac Herzog its recommendation to task opposition leader Gadi Eisenkot with forming the government. With this, he has the backing of 56 Knesset members, while Benjamin Netanyahu has 46 after the refusal of the ultra-Orthodox United Torah Judaism party.
