Oxford scientists link blood proteins to prostate cancer risk 15 years before diagnosis
Researchers at the University of Oxford analysed blood samples from more than 2,500 men collected between 1992 and 2000 and identified proteins whose levels were associated with prostate cancer risk long before diagnosis. The study was published in European Urology; the authors emphasise that the findings are still far from being a screening test.
