Petition to ban CNews in France gathers more than 500,000 signatures
A petition demanding to take the news channel CNews off the air, launched in June, quickly gathered more than 500,000 signatures after the racist killing of a Congolese man in a Paris suburb on October 23. The suspect, according to the prosecutor, said he was 'targeting people who looked like Muslims, Africans or North Africans'. French media reported that he was an avid viewer of CNews.
