Dentist Shopov: Recurring gum bleeding may indicate not only gingivitis but also blood diseases
Dental surgeon Valentin Shopov told Life.ru that blood on the toothbrush is most often associated with bacterial plaque and gingivitis, but can be a sign of diabetes, clotting disorders, vitamin deficiencies, anticoagulant use and, in rare cases, blood diseases including leukemias. According to him, it is important to find out the cause rather than pick a toothpaste for the symptom.
