Paraguay's Senate removed President Santiago Peña from office after impeachment
The upper chamber of Paraguay's parliament found President Santiago Peña guilty of improper performance of his duties amid a banking scandal surrounding Ueno Bank, which affected about three million customers. Presidential powers will pass to Vice President Pedro Aliana until 2028.
