More than four thousand earthquakes recorded worldwide in October 2026
According to SHOT, 4,041 earthquakes with a magnitude above 2.5 were registered in October — twice as many as a year earlier and at least 1,300 tremors more than in any other month of 2026. Aftershocks following strong earthquakes are cited as a possible cause.
