Ofcom issues age verification recommendations ahead of the social media ban for teenagers in the UK
The UK regulator Ofcom has identified methods for detecting users under 16 ahead of the social media ban taking effect in March next year. The restrictions will cover the ten largest platforms, including Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat. The government's decision is expected by the end of the year.
