NordBalt power link between Sweden and Lithuania goes down in emergency shutdown
The 700 MW NordBalt intergovernmental direct current line went offline on Friday afternoon, reportedly due to a failure at a converter station in Sweden. Lithuania activated reserves, and consumer supply was not interrupted. The Swedish operator is investigating the cause and sees no signs of external interference.
