Major emitters declare concern for health but fail to cut emissions — analysis of 132 climate plans
The Global Climate and Health Alliance assessed the climate commitments of 132 countries against eight criteria, including health impacts and air pollution. The EU ranked 12th; Colombia topped the ranking with 29 out of 32 points. According to the alliance, major emitters, including the EU, Canada and the UAE, receive high scores in the 'health' block but fail to deliver sufficient emissions reductions. Health ministries participated in developing the plans in only 15% of countries.
