Scientists discover how the METTL13 enzyme helps tumors grow and resist treatment
Researchers at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center have shown that the enzyme METTL13 boosts the production of the KRAS protein, which drives the growth of many tumors. In preclinical models, suppressing it slowed tumor growth and restored sensitivity to the drug sotorasib. The results were published in Nature Cell Biology.
