Over the past year, more than 113,000 administrative protocols were drawn up against fare evaders in Tashkent, and 2.7 billion soums in fines were collected. 98% of those who did not pay are people under 30. The Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan has developed a proposal to increase the current fine of 44,000 soums fivefold; the matter is being coordinated with other agencies.
