California investor's assistant admits to stealing $18 million over ten years
47-year-old Lizbeth Guadalupe Sherman, who worked as a personal assistant to a former venture capitalist in California, pleaded guilty to stealing nearly $18 million. She paid off her credit cards with her employer's money, spent the funds on luxury goods, and resold items online. The sentence will be handed down on March 22, 2027.
