'Space jellyfish' appears in the sky over Komi after the launch of a Soyuz-2.1b from Plesetsk
Residents of Syktyvkar filmed a huge glowing trail resembling a jellyfish in the night sky. The phenomenon appeared after the launch of a Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket from the Plesetsk cosmodrome, which placed a spacecraft into orbit for the Defense Ministry. Similar 'jellyfish' were already observed in September over Russia and in late October over China.
