Spanish footballer Jesús de Miguel dies after collision with goalkeeper on the pitch
Jesús de Miguel, the 30-year-old Tenerife forward, died on November 3 after a collision with Andorra goalkeeper Jesús Owono in a Spanish second-division match. The player suffered cardiac arrest, was resuscitated, but his condition worsened overnight. The RFEF postponed Copa del Rey and Copa de la Reina matches, UEFA announced a minute's silence, and police opened an investigation.
