Fixed taxi fares take effect at Lisbon airport after complaints about tourist rip-offs
From Thursday, Humberto Delgado airport has fixed prices for trips to two zones: €16–20 to 'zone 1' and €19–23 to 'zone 2' depending on time of day. A protocol signed in September by the city hall, ANA, ATL, FPT and ANTRAL also bans refusing rides and requires card acceptance. Social media reaction was split: some call the fares inflated 'tourist prices', others welcome the transparency. The need for measures was confirmed by an August PSP inspection that found 67 violations.
