In Ecuador, a priest died after a cross fell during Mass
Ecuadorian priest Patricio Sánchez died when a large cross mounted on the wall behind the altar fell on him during an evening Mass at a church in Guayaquil. The service was broadcast live on social media. The Archdiocese of Guayaquil confirmed the death and expressed condolences. A memorial Mass was held at the church on Sunday.
