In Guadalajara, a protest against the water crisis escalated into riots: state Congress buildings set on fire
A second demonstration in a week over water shortages and contamination in Guadalajara ended in violence: a group in masks, according to authorities and organizers, set fire to the entrances of the state Congress. Five people were detained. The first protest on October 11 drew more than 10,000 people and ended with 57 injured and 39 detained.
