Turkish Minister: Development Road Project to Bring $55 Billion to Country's Economy Over 10 Years
Turkey's Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu stated that the Development Road project, connecting the Fao port in Iraq with Europe through Turkey, will bring about $55 billion over a decade and an average of 70,000 jobs per year. The corridor will combine railways and highways, power lines, fiber optics and pipelines, reducing cargo delivery time from the Persian Gulf to Europe to 25 days.
