The 2026 Goncourt Prize goes to Philippe Jaenada for “The Unknown Woman of the Quai de Javel”
The Académie Goncourt jury awarded the 2026 prize to Philippe Jaenada for the novel “L'Inconnue du quai de Javel” (Flammarion). All four finalists belonged to the Madrigall group, while the season's main favorite was dropped over an AI scandal.
