TechCrunch published a review of apps optimized for the foldable iPhone Duo, introduced by Apple in September 2026 at a starting price of $2000. Netflix, Deck-Man, TypeDraw, Wakeout, Flighty, Tiny Computers, Sky Guide, MD Vinyl, Pico Cam, and Toastie use the device's two screens in unconventional ways — from a virtual cassette player to a “toaster” mode. At the same time, many mainstream iOS apps are still not adapted to the foldable format. On October 23, an Apple store in Sydney was the first to begin selling the iPhone Duo. Pre-orders, which opened on October 16, sold out within minutes — delivery dates were pushed to the end of January. The Duo is Apple's most expensive iPhone: from $1999 (256 GB) to $3199 (2 TB). According to Wired, Touch ID is used instead of Face ID, and many third-party apps have not yet been adapted to the unusual form factor.
