Russia retains first place among fish suppliers to South Korea
Between January and September 2026, South Korea purchased more than 174,000 tonnes of fish products from Russia — almost a quarter of its imports. Exports of frozen herring grew by 39%, while the average price rose by 31%. The growth in shipments is linked to a record catch of Pacific herring in the Far East.
