The first SCO+ expert dialogue on security issues has begun in Samarkand, focused on combating terrorism and extremism in the context of digitalization. The format was initiated by Uzbekistan: the idea was voiced at the SCO summit in Astana in 2024, and holding the first meeting in Samarkand was proposed in Tianjin in 2025.
