Pentagon admits the US is unprepared for the drone war in Ukraine
Emil Michael, US Deputy Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal that the large-scale use of drones by Russia and Ukraine caught the US off guard. According to him, the Pentagon and defense contractors paid no attention to this format of warfare, and now the department is rushing to equip its troops with drones and is factoring in scenarios of a conflict with Iran.
