Democratic candidate Mary Peltola said she was unaware of plans to put a second candidate named Dan Sullivan on the ballot in the Alaska Senate election. Meanwhile, the US Department of Justice is expanding its investigation and has filed a lawsuit to block certification of the results, and Governor Mike Dunleavy has ordered an official review.
