Polish President declares violation of the constitutional order after nighttime standoff at the Constitutional Tribunal
Polish President Karol Nawrocki cut short his visit to Senegal and spent several hours inside the Constitutional Tribunal building in Warsaw amid a conflict over its leadership. He declared a «forcible seizure of a constitutional body» and convened emergency consultations with parliamentary parties. Prime Minister Donald Tusk and the justice minister took opposing positions.
