Anthropic ahead of IPO: compute margins deteriorate despite revenue growth
In an amended S-1 filing, Anthropic disclosed data for the quarter through September 30: revenue grew to $17 billion, but the operating loss increased, and the share of compute costs reached 58% of revenue versus 48% the previous quarter. The company is forced to buy compute at high short-term rates, including a $1.25 billion-per-month contract with SpaceX.
