Britain must be ready for war within 1,000 days, Defence Secretary says
UK Defence Secretary Wes Streeting said that the country and its NATO allies must be ready to 'fight and win a war' within roughly 1,000 days, as adversaries could build up their military capability by 2030. The government has launched the 'Be Ready' campaign with recommendations to keep three days' worth of supplies at home.
