Lawyer Viktor Terskikh, commenting for Gazeta.Ru, explained the rules for dividing found treasures under Article 233 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation: when the find goes to the plot owner, when it is split equally, and when it is transferred to the state with a payment of 50% of its value.
