Binance founder suggested the exchange was hacked after reports of $3.5 billion in asset withdrawals
Changpeng Zhao said Binance had likely been hacked amid reports of cryptocurrency withdrawals totaling more than $3.5 billion. Tether and Circle, according to him, froze nearly $1.8 billion. Bitcoin fell below $80,000 during trading.
