Azerbaijani aviation cuts emissions amid growing traffic
AZAL is purchasing Airbus A320neo aircraft, which have cut emissions by more than 17%, Heydar Aliyev Airport has received the third level of Airport Carbon Accreditation, and traffic in Azerbaijan's airspace grew by 11% in summer 2026. Industry representatives from AZAL and Azeraeronavigation discussed the sector's strategy on the Business Horizons program on Euronews.
