Eric Dane was misdiagnosed for months before ALS was discovered
In the posthumous memoirs of the actor from Grey's Anatomy and Euphoria, excerpts of which were published by the Daily Mail, it is recounted that doctors first suspected neuropathy and a rare autoimmune disease, and ALS was confirmed only after unsuccessful therapy. Dane died on February 19, 2026, at the age of 53.
