UAE President discussed investment and energy with Germany's economy minister in Abu Dhabi

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed held talks in Abu Dhabi with Germany's Minister of Economy and Energy Katherina Reiche. The meeting took place against the backdrop of the Adipec conference and two months after the announcement of a UAE plan to invest €40 billion in Germany, of which €10 billion is earmarked for Bavaria.

Welsh companies at Adipec-2026 in Abu Dhabi seek growth in the UAE energy sector

More than 16 Welsh companies are taking part in the Adipec exhibition in Abu Dhabi with support from the Welsh government. For some, the Middle East already accounts for more than half of revenue: Holyhead Towing — 70–75%, Tomoe Valve exports about 50% of its output to the region, and Clenergy EV is seeking partners for charging infrastructure.
