Uzbekistan to introduce special bank accounts for enterprises at the bankruptcy stage
On 20 October, the Ministry of Justice approved amendments to the procedure for opening, maintaining and closing bank accounts. Commercial banks will open separate accounts for companies in rehabilitation, external management or liquidation procedures, and debit operations on the previous accounts are suspended. Customers will also be able to obtain information about their accounts at any bank and open accounts using a biometric foreign passport.
