In Tashkent, bus drivers will be required to lower ramps under threat of penalties
The Council of People's Deputies of Tashkent adopted a resolution to strengthen oversight of the accessibility of public transport for people with disabilities and passengers with baby strollers. By December 1, organizations must check the condition of ramps on buses and at metro stations, and drivers' refusal to lower ramps is proposed to be enshrined as a disciplinary violation.
