Verdict in the Drug Cookie Case

The St Petersburg City Court handed down a verdict to Alexei Ivanov, found guilty of the illegal sale of drugs via the internet. This was reported by the joint press service of the city's courts. The final sentence is seven years of imprisonment.

Trafficking Scheme

According to the case materials, Ivanov acted in criminal collusion with an unidentified person. The accomplice purchased narcotic substances and passed them to Ivanov, who packaged the substances in the form of confectionery items and prepared hiding places — 'stashes' — in St Petersburg and the Leningrad Region. He stored the drugs in his apartment in Murino, where he prepared batches of goods, then photographed the locations and passed the coordinates via messengers. The accomplice was responsible for finding buyers and organizing sales.

Seized Batch

In one of the episodes, Ivanov made 30 confectionery items with a total weight of more than 154 grams, which were handed over to a buyer for 20,000 rubles. The goods were seized by traffic police officers during a search of the client.

Earlier, in Krasnoyarsk, a Russian man under the influence of drugs threatened children with a pistol and received a prison sentence.
