Gvozdikova on her colleague's final years
People's Artist of Russia Natalya Gvozdikova, a colleague of Lidia Fedoseeva-Shukshina, in an interview with 360.ru, said that the actress's final years may have been overshadowed by family disagreements. «Her relatives, so to speak, got her tangled up in some problems and so on, but she never did anything bad to anyone,» Life.ru quotes Gvozdikova as saying. According to her, just a few days ago she spoke with Fedoseeva-Shukshina's daughter Maria, and in that conversation they recalled Lidia Nikolaevna at length — her character and the years she lived through. The actress called the news of her colleague's death a heavy blow and admitted she could barely hold back tears.
«People of that formation»
Gvozdikova linked Fedoseeva-Shukshina's passing to a broader theme — the departure of the older generation of Soviet actors. In her view, these people were raised differently, valued their reputation and stood behind their word. «These were people of that formation, people of that upbringing; their word mattered greatly to them. <...>. But nowadays people throw words around left and right, any way they please,» she emphasized. Despite the family disputes that marked Fedoseeva-Shukshina's final years, her colleague urged people to remember, first of all, the actress's human qualities, calling her a kind and caring woman. «Of course, my memories are very positive, no matter what anyone says. Because she was a good person. She was a good, kind person,» Gvozdikova concluded.
