Deadly collision on Mira Street
In Volzhsky, Volgograd Region, on the evening of November 7, at around 19:25, a VAZ-2114 and a Hyundai Elantra collided on Mira Street, opposite house No. 79. The report came from the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to preliminary police data, the 21-year-old driver of the domestic car lost control, crossed into the oncoming lane, and crashed into the foreign-made vehicle.
The injured
The driver of the VAZ-2114 was taken to a medical facility, but he could not be saved — he died from his injuries. Two passengers of his car and a woman who was in the Hyundai were also hospitalized. The severity of their injuries has not yet been specified. Crash in Kalmykia
This is not the only report of mass injuries on the region's roads over the weekend: it was previously reported that five people were injured in a collision between two passenger cars in the Chernozemelsky District of Kalmykia. That crash occurred a day earlier, on November 6 at around 15:30, on the Yashkul — Komsomolsky — Artesian highway. The two accidents are unrelated; the only thing they have in common is that several people were injured in both cases.
