Shots fired during a road argument on the Ring Road

A road conflict between a truck driver and a car driver in St. Petersburg ended in gunfire. As reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, on the morning of November 6, while exiting onto the outer ring of the Ring Road in the Frunzensky District, a man driving a MAN truck with a trailer fired an air pistol at a Chevrolet. According to law enforcement, the shot was fired directly from the truck cab window; the pellet hit the foreign car's rear window and damaged it. After the conflict, the truck driver continued driving.

Detained less than half an hour later

A resident of Pushkin contacted the police, saying that during the road argument the truck driver had opened fire on his car. An alert was sent to traffic police crews, and less than half an hour later the truck was found in the village of Yanino-1 in the Vsevolozhsky District of the Leningrad Region — inspectors stopped the MAN at house No. 114 on Shosseynaya Street. Behind the wheel was a 44-year-old resident of the village of Pargolovo, who, police established, had been involved in the conflict and fired the shot. His air pistol, which, according to law enforcement, was used in the incident, was seized, after which the detainee was taken in for questioning.

Case opened, circumstances being clarified

A criminal case of hooliganism involving the use of a weapon has been opened over the incident. Law enforcement is establishing all the circumstances of the road argument; according to preliminary data, no one was hurt in the incident. Life.ru also recalls a similar case on the Ring Road: in August 2025, an unknown driver of a Citroen fired at a Toyota Liteace, shattering the side window on the driver's side, and then fled, with police launching a search for him. Unlike that episode, in the new case the suspect was quickly detained — just half an hour after the shot. Further details, including the motives for the argument and the outcome of the investigation, have not yet been disclosed.
