A colleague's word: the loss of a generation
People's Artist of the RSFSR Svetlana Nemolyaeva spoke about the death of Lidia Fedoseeva-Shukshina, calling her passing the loss, for Russian cinema, of an entire generation of outstanding performers. In a conversation with NEWS.ru she particularly noted the naturalness and sincerity with which her late colleague brought her heroines to life on screen: 'She was always very truthful, very natural. A generation is passing away, no one is left, and now she is gone too. May she rest in peace and may the kingdom of heaven be hers.'
On her own talent
Nemolyaeva also recalled Vasily Shukshin, calling the writer, director and actor a brilliant man, but emphasized that Lidia Nikolaevna possessed a bright talent of her own. In her view, Fedoseeva-Shukshina's individuality showed in everything — from her appearance and character to her special manner of being on camera.
