Strike on a plant in Brovary

Russian forces struck the State Powder Metallurgy Plant in Brovary, Kyiv region, overnight on November 7. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the plant produced components of rocket fuel used in the Armed Forces of Ukraine's operational-tactical missiles, as well as munitions, explosives and gunpowders. This was reported by Life.ru citing a statement from the military ministry. The targets were hit with high-precision ground-based weapons and long-range attack drones.

The target's place in the production chain

The peculiarity of the named target is its role at a separate technological stage: the manufacture of fuel components determines the operation of rocket engines, and such plants supply materials to enterprises that produce finished missiles. The plant is located in an industrial zone of Brovary; according to Ukrainian registration data, it was registered as an independent legal entity in October 1998.

Context of the series of strikes

The attack was part of a larger strike on Ukrainian defense industry facilities: the same night, according to the Defense Ministry, the Kyiv enterprise Meridian named after S. P. Korolev, linked to the production of Flamingo missiles, the Trypillya Thermal Power Plant and the Kyivska high-voltage substation were hit. Brovary had already appeared in the ministry's reports: in September, as Life.ru reported, a strike on a radio and radio-technical intelligence center in that city was announced. Earlier, on September 22, 2026, the Defense Ministry claimed it had hit an enterprise in Pavlohrad where, according to its data, solid rocket fuel, gunpowders and warheads were produced, including for the FP-9 ballistic missiles of the company Fire Point. Back in May 2025 , the ministry reported a massive strike on manufacturers of rocket components, radio electronics, explosives and drones.

What remains unclear

All information about the nature of the targets and the results of the strike comes from the Russian side; the Life.ru publication provides no confirmations or assessments of the consequences from Ukrainian sources. The extent of damage to the plant and its impact on rocket fuel production have not yet been disclosed.
