Petrosyan to travel to the American Grand Prix stage without her coach
Three-time Russian champion Adelia Petrosyan will compete at the ISU Grand Prix stage in the United States without her coach Inna Goncharenko. The athlete herself announced this in a video published by the Figure Skating Federation of Russia: “Yes, [without a coach], I have had that experience.”
Schedule and current results
The Grand Prix stage in the USA will take place from November 14 to 16 in Everett. According to Gazeta.Ru, Petrosyan will be joined at the stage by the silver medalist of the 2022 Olympic Games — the outlet names her as Alexandra Ignatova (Trusova). After the American event, Petrosyan is also entered for the Grand Prix of Japan, which will be held from November 27 to 29.
Context: clearance for Russians and the result in Russia
Petrosyan's participation in foreign stages became possible after a decision by the International Skating Union: on June 30 the ISU published a press release on admitting Russian athletes to tournaments under its auspices from the 2026/27 season — in a neutral status, in both individual and team events. The decision covers figure skating, short track and speed skating. Earlier, on November 7, Petrosyan was in second place after the short programs at the Grand Prix stage in Russia.
