A series of fires in recent days

The report of the Penza fire came against the backdrop of a number of other fires reported in previous days. According to Gazeta.Ru, on the night of November 7, a warehouse with oils and sawn timber burned in Rostov-on-Don — the fire area reached 8,000 square meters; the city administration reported that specialists did not detect any exceedance of the maximum permissible concentration of harmful substances in the air. Earlier, witnesses reported a fire on General Dorokhov Street in western Moscow, near the CHP-25 power plant; it was specified that the fire engulfed a scrap metal collection point covering 300 square meters. There were also reports of a fire in a shopping center in the Leningrad Region. These incidents are not connected with the fire in the Penza Region — what they have in common is merely the period in which they occurred.
