Second gold of the day in double mini-trampoline

The Russian men's team won gold at the trampoline gymnastics World Championships in the team double mini-trampoline event. The tournament is taking place in Nanjing, China, and will conclude on November 8. Alexander Butko, Ilya Penkin, Damian Kozmin and Timofey Golubenko scored 26 points — four more than the silver medallists from Portugal (22 points). The US team took third place with 19 points. Women's gold on the tumbling track

Earlier the same day, the Russian women's team won gold on the tumbling track. Alexandra Lyamina, Elena Neiman, Arina Kalyandra and Polina Novolokina scored 28 points, ahead of the teams from Belgium and France.

Competing under the national flag

For Russian athletes, this tournament has a special status: it is the first time since 2019 that they are competing at a World Championship under the national flag. Thus, the two team golds won in a single day became the national team's first medals at world championships under the Russian flag in recent years — at least in these disciplines; sources have not yet reported on the team's other results at the tournament.
