Expected payout threshold for 2027
The threshold for pension savings that can be received as a single payment may rise to 469,665 rubles in 2027, up from 439,776 rubles in 2026. Gazeta.Ru was told this by Natalia Kamenskaya, Director for Government Relations and Legal Support at SberNPF. It is important to understand that this is not a fixed increase for every pensioner, but a maximum amount used to determine the form of payment: a person receives the funds that have actually accumulated in their account.
How eligibility for a one-time payment is determined
The limit for a lump-sum payment is reviewed annually and is tied to the pensioner's subsistence minimum for Russia as a whole. According to Kamenskaya, the expected threshold for 2027 is calculated based on a pensioner's subsistence minimum of 17,395 rubles and a payout period of 270 months; maintaining this period for 2027 is provided for in a draft law. If the estimated monthly funded pension does not exceed 10% of the federal subsistence minimum for pensioners, the funds can be received immediately; if it exceeds that, a lifetime monthly payment is assigned. As a general rule, women from age 55 and men from age 60 may apply for their savings, provided the established conditions are met, with exceptions for those entitled to an early pension.
What those wishing to receive the payment should do
Kamenskaya recommends starting with an extract from the individual personal account on Gosuslugi: it will help find out where the savings are held — in the SFR or in a private pension fund. If the insurer is a private pension fund (NPF), the current amount, taking investment into account, should be clarified directly with that fund. The application for payment must be submitted to the fund where the savings are formed. Earlier, on October 21, Gazeta.Ru already published an article on how Russians can prepare for retirement.
