Artists added to the War&Sanctions database
Russian artists Stas Mikhailov, Larisa Dolina and Diana Gurtskaya have been added to the database of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense. Their names appeared on the War&Sanctions portal, where Ukrainian intelligence collects information on public figures it links to support of Russian policy. This is reported by Life.ru.
How the inclusion in the list is explained
The GUR itself explained Mikhailov's inclusion in the list by his position on Russia's actions in Ukraine; the portal's authors also noted that the singer has repeatedly served as a trusted representative of Vladimir Putin in presidential elections. Larisa Dolina was added to the database, in particular, for her public support of the special military operation and Russian servicemen. Alongside them, Diana Gurtskaya and other Russian performers also appeared in the list.
The scale of the database and previous inclusions
According to Life.ru, since the beginning of 2022 the relevant section of War&Sanctions has included information on more than 450 artists, athletes and public figures whose activities Ukrainian intelligence links to support of Russian propaganda. Earlier, the same outlet reported that the database had included actor Nikita Dzhigurda and blogger Dmitry Puchkov (Goblin) — according to the portal, over public support for the SVO and trips to Donbas; the same page mentioned Dzhigurda's performances before Russian servicemen, the delivery of humanitarian aid and participation in patriotic events.
