Previous incidents involving IrAero aircraft in Irkutsk

This is not the carrier's first mishap at Irkutsk airport recently. According to Life.ru, on October 18, during a training flight, one of the company's An-24 aircraft reported smoke near the right landing gear strut while landing, after which a wheel burst on the taxiway. The aircraft could not be removed promptly, and the runway was closed for two and a half hours: seven flights were delayed, there were no injuries, and investigators opened an inquiry. In addition, in September 2023, an IrAero An-26 made an emergency landing at the same airport with a failed left engine — there were 25 passengers and four crew members on board, and no one was hurt.
