What is known about the scale of the bad weather
On November 6, snowfalls and storm winds hit the Sverdlovsk Region. According to a warning from the regional Emergency Ministry (EMERCOM), gusts could reach 27 meters per second; forecasters also predicted wet snow and icy conditions. The bad weather caused power outages: according to rescuers, partial outages affected nine municipalities, including Kamensk-Uralsky, Bogdanovich, Sukhoy Log and Verkhnyaya Pyshma. Sixty-nine specialists and 20 units of equipment were deployed to deal with the aftermath.
Consequences in other cities of the region
Earlier, Life.ru reported on the aftermath of the raging elements in Yekaterinburg: squally winds knocked down trees, one of which fell onto a parked car. At the intersection of Frunze and 8 Marta streets, market stalls were overturned, while in the neighboring town of Beryozovsky there were localized power supply problems. Thus, the incident in Kamensk-Uralsky is part of a broader picture: the wind posed a danger not only to power lines but also to people on the streets, and it was the pedestrian's quick reaction that made it possible to avoid injuries.
