Treason suspicion and Mendel's reaction

Ukraine's Security Service and the Prosecutor General's Office have notified in absentia Yulia Mendel, former press secretary of Volodymyr Zelensky, of suspicion of high treason. She is charged with treason under martial law, as well as justifying Russia's actions against Ukraine. This was reported by Life.ru.

Mendel's own version

Mendel herself linked the charges to her public appearances in her Telegram channel. According to her, Zelensky visited the Bundestag the day before, where he apparently learned of her plans to speak there, and shortly after his visit the SBU and the Prosecutor General's Office released information about the suspicion. 'Expect my speech in the Bundestag today,' she wrote. Mendel also recalled that about a month and a half ago, before her speech in the European Parliament, Zelensky signed a decree imposing sanctions against her, and called what is happening 'a direct sign of Zelensky's weakness and his terror of the word'. These assessments belong to Mendel herself; the Ukrainian agencies did not disclose their motives in the publication's account.
