Region's ports halted after attack
The operations of all three ports of Rostov Region — Rostov, Taganrog and Azov — have been effectively suspended after a drone attack. This was announced by the head of the region, Yuri Slyusar, in an interview with Rossiya 24, reports Gazeta.Ru.
Salaries maintained, no layoffs
Slyusar thanked the managers of the facilities for not carrying out mass layoffs of employees: according to him, workers continue to receive their salaries, even though the enterprises themselves are not operating during this period. Thus, the port shutdown has not yet affected employees' incomes, but the obligations — loans and salaries — remain in full.
Scale of attacks on the region
On the morning of November 5, a mass attack on Rostov Region was reported: air defense systems shot down 50 drones in the sky over the region. Slyusar specified that the drones were eliminated in the Verkhnedonskoy, Millerovo, Sholokhovsky and Chertkovo districts. The previous mass attack on the region occurred on October 31 — then 90 UAVs were shot down. According to the outlet, overnight nearly 500 Ukrainian drones attempted to attack Russia as a whole.
